“Signature atmospheric future-dub” — Dub Junction

A reference to the mythological beings depicted across ancient Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist texts as guardians of the natural treasures in the earth and tree roots, Yaksha is a producer combining live and electronic elements, and drawing on influences from the legacy of dub and soundsystem culture.

Since establishing his record label ‘Yaksha Sounds’ in 2019, he has released music with artists such as Joe Yorke, Alpha Steppa, Fikir Amlak, Ashanti Selah, Dan-I Locks, Alpha & Omega, and Nga Han, frequently featuring his father King David Horns on trombone and receiving support from soundsystems and selectors such as Aba Shanti-I, Dennis Bovell, and King Shiloh.
