Yaksha

Found in Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist texts, the name Yaksha references a broad class of nature spirits that are guardians of the natural treasures hidden within the earth and tree roots. One of Yaksha’s main musical inspirations is his father, King David Horns, a respected trombonist who has played alongside many reggae greats.

Residing in Bristol, Yaksha started his label ‘Yaksha Sounds’ in 2019 and has since released collaborations with Joe Yorke, Alpha Steppa, Fikir Amlak, Nga Han, Ashanti Selah, Dan I Locks, Alpha & Omega, Emperor Wanje, and Martin Melody; Receiving support from the likes of Aba Shanti, Dennis Bovell, and King Shiloh.
